Rush Street Interactive in partnership with Grupo Multimedios
US sports betting and online gambling company, Rush Street Interactive has joined forces with Mexican media agency, Grupo Multimedios to enter the market in the Latin American country.
In a move that is being seen as significant on both sides, this substantial 25-year agreement will see Rush Street Interactive (RSI) offer all of its sports betting and online gambling assets to Mexican residents via the terms of the agreement.
As a result, it means that RSI will be able to leverage the multiple media channels available to it via Grupo Multimedios as it looks to gain a foothold in a swiftly developing market.
News greeted with enthusiasm
Following the announcement of the deal, this is being hailed as a landmark deal for all parties involved, including the market in Mexico itself, which is swiftly becoming a growing region for sports betting.
Co-CEO of Multimedios, Angel Cong revealed: “It is very exciting to start this partnership with RSI, their experience and amazing team will help our group achieve a new partnered vision of continuous growth and entrepreneurship.
“RSI has been successful in the American and Colombian online casino and sportsbook markets; we have no doubt that together we will achieve the same in Mexico. With this partnership, both RSI and Multimedios will take advantage of our media assets to be a strong and successful competitor.”
Meanwhile, CEO of RSI, Richard Schwartz was just as optimistic, commenting: “As the first US gaming company to launch a regulated online gaming sportsbook in Latin America, we have a deep understanding and appreciation for the communities where we operate and the localization that is needed to thrive in the Latin American market.

With the distribution channels available, it means that it can scale in the country quickly and the joint marketing efforts from both sides can help to increase customer acquisition from the start.
